Kinokavarna Ostrov nad Ohri
The digitization of the Ostrov nad Ohri cinema brought the Kinokavarna at the Cultural Center a DCI 2K Barco SP2K-7 projector, an ICMP-X cinema server, and a passive 3D system. A complete turnkey installation including training.
Kinokavárna Ostrov nad Ohri
The digitalization of the cinema in Ostrov nad Ohri, specifically the Kinokavárna in the local Cultural House, took place in September 2025 and brought the town complete DCI projection at the highest international standard. We delivered the project turnkey: from the design and supply of all the technology through installation and measurement to operator training.
DCI projector and cinema server
At the heart of the new system is a Barco SP2K-7 projector with a Barco Alchemy ICMP-X cinema server. Barco is among the world leaders in DCI projection technology, and both devices meet every standard for digital cinematography. The system is complemented by a backup power supply and its own network infrastructure, which ensures reliable, secure operation of the cinema.
Passive 3D system
The delivery includes a complete passive 3D system, including a polarization module and a CLARUS XC projection screen. Audiences can enjoy 3D films with lightweight passive glasses, with no need to recharge or replace batteries. The Kinokavárna has thousands of pairs of glasses available for adults and children alike.
Management and remote access
For convenient operation, we delivered a powerful PC setup with remote access. The staff can therefore manage the screening schedule, download DCP content and monitor the technology from anywhere, with no need to be physically present in the cinema.
Result
The digitalization of the cinema in Ostrov nad Ohri went smoothly. We handed over the entire system in September 2025 with no defects or unfinished work, and we measured and configured the audio and video chain to DCI standards. The Kinokavárna now screens at the full DCI standard, and its staff has completed expert training.
The cinema is part of the XC TECH remote monitoring system: continuous oversight of the projection technology in real time.
