Brands we deliver and service
digital cinema
What is digital cinema
Cinema projection built on the DCI standard (Digital Cinema Initiatives): uniform specifications for picture, sound and content security that every commercial cinema meets. From delivery to the screen, the film follows one chain.
We design, deliver and calibrate this entire chain and keep it running with 24/7 service, in cinemas across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We are a certified Barco partner.
01
DCP
The film does not arrive on a reel but as a Digital Cinema Package: an encrypted bundle of picture, sound, subtitles and metadata.
Glossary→02
Cinema server
A cinema server stores and decrypts the package. The KDM key authorises playback of a specific film in a specific auditorium and time window.
DCI servers→03
DCI projector
A Barco Series 4 projector renders the picture in 2K or 4K, with a laser light source instead of a xenon lamp.
DCI projectors→04
Screen and sound
The picture lands on the projection screen and the auditorium sound system takes over: from 5.1 up to immersive IAB, AuroMax and Dolby Atmos.
Auditorium sound→05
Automation
Lights, curtain, projection and sound follow the show playlist automatically. The auditorium runs itself; the operator supervises.

the DCI standard
Why the DCI standard exists
2002
founded
Digital Cinema Initiatives was founded by the Hollywood studios (Disney, Fox, MGM, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Universal and Warner Bros.) to unify quality and security requirements for digital projection. Until then no common standard existed and each studio risked pushing its own format.
2005
specification
The first DCI System Specification was published in July 2005. It defines the DCP format, JPEG 2000 compression, 2K and 4K resolutions, colour space and content encryption with KDM keys - everything that forms the technical foundation of digital cinema today.
today
condition of operation
Distributors release first-run films only to auditoriums whose equipment meets the DCI specification. Compliance is verified against the CTP test plan - which is why cinema projectors and servers are labelled DCI.
