LED Wall in the Main Hall of the Rakovnik Cultural Center

XC TECH supplied a 4 x 2.5 m LED wall with a 1.95 mm pixel pitch to the main hall of the Rakovnik Cultural Center, mounted on a motorized fly bar with remote control.

In March 2026, the main hall of the Rakovnik Cultural Center gained a large-format LED wall with a resolution of 2048 × 1280 pixels and a pixel pitch of 1.95 mm. The installation includes a professional electric fly system: the wall raises and lowers smoothly as each event requires. We delivered the entire project turnkey, from design, supply and electrical installation through mounting and complete cabling all the way to commissioning, inspection and operator training.

LED wall on an electric fly system

Measuring 4 × 2.5 m, the wall hangs on an electric shaft hoist with a 400 kg load capacity. Operators raise or lower it at 9 cm/s, with a travel of four meters. The hoist is secured by a fall brake, an IRC position sensor and an upper safety limit. The wall adapts instantly to the needs of an event, whether a corporate presentation, a theater scene or a live concert with camera feed.

The 1.95 mm pixel pitch delivers a sharp image even from the front row of the auditorium. The refresh rate exceeds 3,840 Hz, so the picture stays smooth even when recorded directly by a camera. The 800 cd/m² brightness is adjustable, and the viewing angle reaches 160° on both axes.

Control unit

The video signal is processed by a professional LED controller with six gigabit Ethernet outputs. It accepts a signal over HDMI, DVI or 3G-SDI and matches the image to the wall's parameters in real time. Each receiving card can be addressed and diagnosed individually.

Remote control and monitoring

For management, we developed and then deployed a web application, LED Wall Control. From any device on the network, operators can switch the entire wall, or its individual sections, on or off with a single click. The application continuously displays the current power draw and keeps a history of consumption data in a clear graph.

The status of individual receiving cards and the parameters of the control unit can be monitored in real time: processor temperature, current load and firmware version. The administrator has a complete overview of the system's technical condition anytime and from anywhere, with no need to be physically present in the hall. The system is scalable and can be linked to other platforms, such as our Cinema monitor system.

Result

The wall was handed over on March 25, 2026 with no defects or unfinished work, complete with full inspection documentation and certificates. From day one of operation, it has served corporate events, cultural evenings, live broadcasts and conferences.
