Modernization of the Tylovo Divadlo Cinema in Rakovnik

Upgrade of the Tyl Theater cinema in Rakovnik
In the autumn of 2021, XC tech s.r.o. carried out a major upgrade of the projection technology at the Tyl Theater in Rakovnik. The goal was to improve projection quality, make operation more efficient and offer audiences the best possible movie experience using state-of-the-art laser technology.
New Barco SP2K-11 laser projector
The original Barco DP2K-32B projector with its Barco Alchemy ICMP cinema server was moved to the Rakovnik Summer Cinema, where it continues to serve for outdoor screenings. A brand-new Barco SP2K-11 RGB laser projector from the Barco SERIES 4 line, paired with a Barco Alchemy ICMP-X server, was installed in the main hall of the Tyl Theater.
Series 4 was first introduced by Barco and Cinionic in 2019 at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, and it delivers a top-tier image, high reliability and low operating costs. The projector supports native 4K resolution and the Rec.2020 color space, and it features high contrast and excellent image uniformity. Thanks to its low noise level (just 50 dB(A)), it can be installed directly inside the hall, outside the traditional projection booth.
Efficient operation and smart management
The Barco SP2K-11 model is designed with energy efficiency in mind: it reaches an output of 9.5 lm/W and draws less than 3 W in eco mode. Thanks to its low consumption and intelligent power management, the projector is also suitable for operations focused on energy savings. The projector can also be easily integrated into automation systems for scheduling screenings, maintenance or content ingest.
