The Susice cinema has a new Barco 4K laser projector and full automation

In 2023, the cinema in Susice underwent a major technological modernization. After more than ten years in service, the original digital equipment from 2012 was replaced with the latest generation of hardware, bringing higher image quality, greater reliability, and substantial energy savings.

Modernization of the Susice cinema - new projector, server, and automation

At the heart of the new projection technology is a Barco SP4K-15B 4K laser projector from the Barco SERIES 4 line, complemented by a powerful Barco Alchemy ICMP-X cinema server. The modernization also included a new Dolby CP950 audio processor and a complete automation system for controlling the curtains, lights, and sound.

Thanks to the modern LED and laser light source, energy costs fell by roughly 40% after one year of operation. On top of that come the savings on xenon lamps, which no longer need to be replaced with the new projector.
