Kino Svet Znojmo

The modernization of the Znojmo cinema took place in August 2025: Kino Svet in Znojmo received a new DCI laser projector and a latest-generation cinema server. We delivered the project as a turnkey solution for ILLUSION spol. s r. o.

New Barco SP2K-9 DCI laser projector

We supplied and installed a Barco SP2K-9 DCI laser projector together with a Barco Alchemy ICMP-X cinema server. The Barco SP2K-9 is one of the most reliable DCI projectors on the market and meets every international standard for digital cinema.

A laser light source brings major advantages over older lamp-based projectors: significantly higher and more stable light output throughout its service life, much longer operating life, and zero lamp-replacement costs. Kino Svet in Znojmo now has reliable, cost-effective technology built for long-term operation.

Turnkey installation

The contract covered the complete installation with all interconnecting cabling, measurement and calibration of the audio and video chain to DCI standards, and operator training. The modern Barco Alchemy ICMP-X cinema server integrates the player, media block, and control unit in a single device, simplifying operation and minimizing the number of potential points of failure.

The result of the Znojmo cinema modernization

The modernization of the Znojmo cinema went off without a hitch. We handed over the entire system in August 2025 with no defects or outstanding work. Kino Svet in Znojmo now screens to full DCI standard with modern laser technology.

The cinema is part of the XC TECH remote monitoring system: round-the-clock, real-time oversight of the projection equipment.
