Kino Vatra Vsetin

The upgrade of the Kino Vatra cinema in Vsetin took place in 2025 in two phases and gave Dům kultury Vsetín, spol. s r. o. a completely renewed projection chain with state-of-the-art laser technology. We delivered the project turnkey, from supply and installation through configuration to operator training.

Phase 1 - new 4K laser projector

In the first phase, completed in the summer of 2025, we delivered a new DCI 4K RGB Barco SP4K-12C laser projector with a motorized lens to the cinema. The Barco SP4K-12C belongs to the premium Series 4 line and delivers significantly higher light output, longer lifespan and lower operating costs than the previous solution: lamp replacements and the associated costs are gone. At the same time, we upgraded the existing cinema server to new, higher-capacity storage and reinforced the backup data storage.

Phase 2 - stage connection and automation

In the second phase, handed over in September 2025, we installed a stage connection for alternative content. The cinema can now transmit the image directly from the stage to projection over a fiber-optic cable, ideal for theater broadcasts, concerts or other live events.

This phase also included complete automation of the hall: remote control of the curtains, the lights and the power supply of the key technology from one place. We integrated the automation system into the cinema's existing infrastructure and trained the staff to operate it.

The result of the Kino Vatra Vsetin upgrade

The upgrade of the Kino Vatra cinema in Vsetin significantly improved image quality and operational reliability and reduced operating costs. We handed over the entire system with no defects or unfinished work, and we measured and configured the audio and video chain to DCI standards.

The cinema is part of the XC TECH remote monitoring system: continuous oversight of the projection technology in real time.
