New Barco DP4K-13BLPHC RGB projector in Tabor

In 2019, at the Svět cinema in Tabor, we replaced the existing DP4K-23B projector with the state-of-the-art DP4K-13BLPHC laser projector. The HC series delivers not only high contrast but the best possible image, so-called "premium" quality. This cinema is also among the first in the Czech Republic to switch to the DCI standard, and for many years it has been bringing the people of Tabor and the surrounding area outstanding culture and entertainment. Replacing the existing QUBE cinema server with the new BARCO Alchemy ICMP opened up new possibilities for the cinema and prepared it for the next incoming formats and features of cinema entertainment. The new BARCO Alchemy ICMP cinema server already meets the strictest security requirements of the DCI standard and is built in as an IMS (Integrated Media Server) inside the projector. Integrating the cinema server with the projector not only guarantees more secure data transfer from the server's RAID array to the screen, but also broadens the options for playing a wider range of content that does not meet the DCI standard, alternative content and local productions.

The DP4K-13BLPHC doubles the contrast and, together with the laser source, guarantees premium quality for mid-size halls. It delivers a consistent, razor-sharp image with high contrast and native 4K resolution, at a brightness of 11,500 lumens. These are perfect specs for halls between 8 and 13 meters wide.

LUXURIOUS image quality

The DP4K-13BLPHC delivers consistent DCI-compliant image quality at native 4K resolution, unmatched image uniformity and 5,000:1 contrast on a white or silver screen. Light output can be reduced to as low as 30%, which makes it possible to run both 2D and 3D projection at the highest quality on a single projector.

Lower operating costs

The cost of buying xenon lamps disappears. Thanks to its unique cooling system, the projector handles up to 30,000 hours of outstanding projection with the best and, above all, constant and uniform image quality.
