Re-digitalization of the Kino O cinema - Orlova
In 2022, the Kino O cinema in Orlova was re-digitalized in a project carried out by XC tech s.r.o.. With it, we built on the original digitalization from 2013, when we installed the first digital projection system here. After nearly ten years of operation, the cinema received a complete overhaul of its technical infrastructure, with an emphasis on higher image quality, lower power consumption and fully automated operation.
New 4K RGB Barco SP4K-12 projector
The foundation of the new installation is a Barco SP4K-12 RGB laser projector from the Barco SERIES 4 line, offering native 4K resolution, a wider color range (Rec.2020), higher contrast and very quiet operation (50 dB(A)). It is complemented by a modern Barco Alchemy ICMP-X cinema server with SSD storage, which ensures reliable, fast operation with no moving parts.
The new projection system delivers not only an exceptional image but also high energy efficiency: with output of 9.5 lm/W and consumption under 3 W in eco mode, it is gentle on both the budget and the environment.
Automated operation
The re-digitalization also included the installation of an automation system that enables central control of all the key technology in the hall, from the lights and the curtain to the amplifiers and the air conditioning. As a result, running the cinema is smoother, faster and easier for the staff.
