New 4K Laser Projector at the Kino 70 Cinema - Dobruska
The modernization of the projection equipment at the Kino 70 cinema in Dobruska took place in the winter of 2021 and marked a major technological leap for the local cultural scene. New 4K laser projector at the Kino 70 cinema - Dobruska
The projection technology upgrade at the Kino 70 cinema in Dobruska took place in the winter of 2021 and marked a major technological leap for the local cultural scene. XC tech s.r.o. carried out the replacement of the original Barco DP2K-20C projector and Qube XP-D cinema server with the latest generation of projection technology: a Barco SP4K-12 RGB laser projector from the Barco SERIES 4 line and a Barco Alchemy ICMP-X server.
Thanks to this upgrade, audiences in Dobruska can look forward to a top-tier image, lower operating costs and an overall more convenient operation of the whole cinema.
Next-generation 4K laser technology
Barco SERIES 4 projectors were introduced at CinemaCon 2019 and deliver top-tier quality in a compact design. The installed SP4K-12 projector offers native 4K resolution, support for the wide Rec.2020 color space, higher contrast and excellent image uniformity. Thanks to very quiet operation (just 50 dB(A)), it is also suitable for installation directly inside the hall.
The device also stands out for its high energy efficiency, 9.5 lm/W, and in eco mode it draws under 3 W. That contributes to long-term sustainable and economical operation.
Automated control of technology
The project also included the installation of a modern industrial automation system that makes it easy to control all the technology in the hall, from the lights and the curtain to the amplifiers and the ventilation. Everything is centralized and accessible from a single interface, which simplifies operation and minimizes errors.
