The popularity of the high-quality BARCO HC (High Contrast) projectors is visibly growing, not only abroad but here at home as well. Another of our long-standing customers chose this excellent machine and had it installed in their modernized booth. The projector swap also came with a cinema server swap.
The HC line delivers not only high contrast but the best possible image, so-called "premium" quality. Replacing the existing QUBE cinema server with a new BARCO Alchemy ICMP brought new capabilities to the cinema's operation and prepared it for the formats and features of cinema entertainment still to come. The new BARCO Alchemy ICMP cinema server already meets the most stringent security requirements of the DCI standard and is built in as an IMS (Integrated Media Server) inside the projector. Integrating the cinema server with the projector guarantees not only more secure data transfer from the server's RAID array to the screen, but also expands the options for playing a wider range of content that does not meet the DCI standard, alternative content, and local productions.
