Upgrade of the Lanskroun Cinema
In 2018, the technology at the Lanskroun cinema was replaced and expanded. This cinema is also among the first in the Czech Republic to switch to the DCI standard, and for many years it has been delighting the residents of Lanskroun and the surrounding area with great culture and entertainment. Replacing the existing QUBE cinema server with a new BARCO Alchemy ICMP brought to its operations
Lanskroun cinema upgrade
In 2018, the technology at the Lanskroun cinema was replaced and expanded. This cinema is also among the first in the Czech Republic to move to the DCI standard, and for many years it has delighted the people of Lanskroun and the surrounding area with great culture and entertainment. Replacing the existing QUBE cinema server with a new BARCO Alchemy ICMP brought new capabilities to the cinema's operation and prepared it for the formats and features of cinema entertainment still to come. The new BARCO Alchemy ICMP cinema server already meets the most stringent security requirements of the DCI standard and is built in as an IMS (Integrated Media Server) inside the projector. Integrating the cinema server with the projector guarantees not only more secure data transfer from the server's RAID array to the screen, but also expands the options for playing a wider range of content that does not meet the DCI standard, alternative content, and local productions.
A new 3D system with passive glasses was also supplied to the cinema. Higher efficiency in the light delivered to the screen brings a better image for the audience, and the ability to buy and bring your own glasses to the cinema brings comfort and simplicity to 3D screenings. It also lets viewers choose "their own" glasses from several types available on the market, whether in shape, color, or special design.
