LED walls for culture

LED walls for halls and cultural centres

One surface for film screenings, concerts and presentations. An LED wall turns a multi-purpose hall into a space that handles the entire programme of a cultural centre - without blackout and without compromising the image.

Why an LED wall in a multi-purpose hall

A projector throws light onto a screen and its performance depends on ambient light - quality projection requires a darkened hall. An LED wall, by contrast, is an active light source: it displays the image directly, achieves high contrast even under working light, and therefore suits halls that alternate between screenings, concerts, lectures and social events.

At the Rakovnik Cultural Centre we designed and installed a multi-purpose 4 × 2.5 m LED wall with a 1.95 mm pixel pitch, mounted on an electric fly system with remote control. It serves film screenings, concerts and presentations, and is managed through the dedicated LED Wall Control app from any device.

  • Perfect image even at close range
  • High brightness and contrast without blacking out the hall
  • Wide viewing angles for optimal visibility
  • Can hang on a fly system - the wall disappears when not needed

Technical parameters of LED walls for halls

Indoor walls are built from cabinets typically 500 × 500 mm in size. Halls and cultural centres typically use a pitch of 1.5 to 2.5 mm - a grid fine enough for the front rows. The minimum comfortable distance in metres roughly equals the pitch in millimetres times ten.
