Digitalization of the cinema in Chlumec nad Cidlinou (Klicperův dům)

The cinema in Klicperův dům in Chlumec nad Cidlinou moved from E-Cinema to full D-Cinema compliant with the DCI standard. The modernization covered new 2K laser projection, a sound system, a projection screen, network infrastructure, digital signage, complete digital cinema automation and remote monitoring.

Projection and sound

At the heart of the projection is a 2K Barco SP2K-7S laser projector with a Barco mFusion ICMP-XS cinema server, the first deployed in the Czech Republic.

The image is projected onto a new Harkness screen. Sound is handled by a Dolby CP950 cinema processor combined with Crown power amplifiers and KCS loudspeakers, which together deliver clean and dynamic sound.

Network infrastructure

The delivery also included a multimedia PC, a 10Gbps network for fast ingests of DCP content, and full Wi-Fi 7 coverage of the building.

Digital signage

In the foyer we installed 65" Samsung displays connected to our SmartPoster system. It automatically shows the cinema's current programme, film posters and living posters, with no manual content updates.

Digital cinema automation

The delivery included complete digital cinema automation that controls projection, the curtain, lighting, ventilation, the audio rack and other technologies. Screenings can run fully automatically and unattended. For any manual intervention, our touch interface for PC and mobile devices is available, complemented by a simple push-button control module.

Monitoring

All key technologies are connected to our monitoring system, which continuously tracks their status. It also includes predictive component analysis that helps schedule service before a failure occurs.
