Frequently asked questions

How is it different from the 7.1 audio channel test?

The 7.1 channel test checks the wiring: one channel at a time, first its name, then pink noise. Surround Worlds is music mixed across all channels at once, so you hear how the auditorium plays as a whole and how the sound moves between speakers.

Why does the YouTube video not play 7.1?

YouTube plays 5.1 at most. The full eight channels of 7.1 are only in the downloadable DCP. The YouTube video is a preview.

What volume should I play it at?

The mix sits around -24 dBFS RMS. Start around processor fader 5 to 5.5, then turn it up step by step.
